The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, and the leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, clashed fiercely in the plenary session, as the focus of the debate was the protest over the Zvërnec issue.
Shehaj accused the majority of collaborating with Sali Berisha to divert attention from citizen protests. According to him, the government is trying to create an artificial debate, while citizens have come out against abuses.
"Tens of thousands of citizens have taken to the streets. You are with the oligarchs night and day, you come here and do theater. No one trusts your theater anymore, you have lost your temper. You can't do business with them. Now you are with Saliu, you are of one mind. They tried theater with Saliu today, but you can't get along anymore. How will you do without Gogol now, Taulant? You need another one and you have found the Greeks, the Russians and so on. Taulant is finished, you need a solution, the citizens have realized that they are being robbed", said Shehaj.
In response, Balla said that Shehaj cannot speak on behalf of the protesters, emphasizing that the protest belongs to citizens and not to political parties.
"I'm very sure that when you tried, you didn't have 30 people left. You called a protest and you gathered 30 people yourself! You come here and speak to us on behalf of the protesters. Now, before we find out who the owner of the protest is, you come out and say: "I am the owner of the protest". Tik Llapa comes out, says: "I am the owner of the protest". Arlind SyMadhi comes out, says: "I am the owner of the protest". Now let's find out who it is? The protest belongs to the people. There are a lot of boys and girls there, some of whom are protesting for the Pelicans, very rightly. Some are protesting for other issues, very rightly. What the hell is wrong with you? You are a thief. You are a thief. You are a fine-collector who goes after businesses from behind and tells businesses: "I won't mention their name, you are costing me so much money".
