The leader of the Mundësia Party, Agron Shehaj, said in the Assembly that, by order of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the Supreme Court is attempting to release senior officials accused of corruption from prison. Shehaj was referring to the session of the Joint Colleges of the Supreme Court that have been convened to review the practice of imprisonment and its duration.
"Today, by order of Edi Rama, the Joint College of the Supreme Court has convened to release those accused of corruption from prison or to rescue those who are currently under investigation from prison," said Shehaj.
The security measures practices are being reviewed today by the Joint Colleges. The decision is expected to be decisive regarding judicial practices on security measures.
The United Colleges were set in motion by Sokol Sadushi, the president of the Supreme Court.
This initiative is expected to be important for judicial practice as a whole, as it relates to the way in which courts justify the restriction of personal freedom and the relationship between "prison arrest" and other lighter security measures.
According to reports, Deputy Prosecutor General Arqile Koça has requested that the hearing be held behind closed doors. The request is related to the fact that the case that has set the court in motion is currently under review in a preliminary hearing at the Supreme Court of Albania.
If Sadushi's initiative is approved, some of the SP's names will leave the cell.

Dhe në luftë nuk duhet të ketë, as zgjedhje, as referendume , as ndryshime të Kodit Penal, të Kodit Civil, të Kodit të Proçedurës Penale , as të Kodit të Proçedurës Civile , as të Kushtetutës të Republikës së Shqipërisë dhe as vendime unifikuese. Rendi politik egzistues moralisht ka rënë.
