The Balkan Film Festival takes place for the 13th time in the city of Pogradec.
Filmmakers from 12 countries of the region will participate in the Festival and 75 feature length and short films will be presented. The evening opened with the documentary "Legends of Gjoli", based on the notes of Mitrushi, Lasgushi and Fatos Baxhak.
For the organizer Eno Milkani, the novelty this year is the experimental films. He said that about 20 such have been selected from all the participating countries. Also new is the screening of restored Albanian films.
"On the first night of the festival, 6 films were presented, among them the feature-length comedy "A life with you" by director Erion Kames with the cast of actresses Dritan Arbana, Ajsi Xhaxhaj and Sindi Leka. The comedy focuses on the relationship of a couple, which is narrated as a story, once by the husband and once by the wife," said producer Eno Milkani.
While director Erion Kame said that the festival will be held from June 20 to 24, where a total of 75 films will be presented.
"During the 4 nights of the festival, from June 20 to 24, a total of 75 long, medium and short films will be presented with the participation of filmmakers from Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, Moldova, North Macedonia, Croatia , Slovenia, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey. On the final night, prizes will be awarded for the best films according to genres", said the director and screenwriter Erion Kame.
