Actor Alfred Bualoti spoke about the well-known actor Mirush Kabashi, at the same time, and his close friend, who passed away today at the age of 75.
Bualoti said that his friend Kabashi had become very weak from the disease that had affected him and he did not want to believe this.
He showed how the figure of Kabashi had been honored in the performances he had given outside Albania, recalling two special moments.
Bualoti said that the first moment had been after a performance in Kiev, Ukraine, where after receiving the first award at the festival organized in the Ukrainian capital, the portrait of Mirush Kabashi was placed on the phone card of Kiev as a sign of respect.
The second moment was in Belgrade, where during a visit to the castle of the Serbian capital, a spectator of the show that Kabashi had given the previous day had removed his hat as a sign of respect to him.
"Mirushi was strong, but he could not win this last battle. It was a serious illness and it weakened many of his powers. He didn't want to believe it, neither did we, but that's how it was. Mirushi is a very great, outstanding and talented artist. There were two powerful weapons, work and discipline and the weapon of talent.
I have been with Mirushi on many stages in Europe, in Paris, Belgrade, Athens and Kiev. I will mention two moments. The first moment was at the festival in Kiev where Mirushi received the first award and his portrait was placed on the phone card in Kiev as a sign of respect. It was extraordinary.
The second moment was in Belgrade, we were walking after the show and entered the courtyard of the Belgrade castle. In front of us, a gentleman with a republic hat took off his hat and bowed before Mirushi and ran away again. Mirushi stayed. He had been a spectator of the show the day before. These moments show the strength and sympathy that Mirushi created in the spectators", he said to "News 24".
