Eurovision 2025 participants will not be allowed to bring LGBTQ+ flags to official events, including the Pride flag, according to new guidelines published by PinkNews.
Artists and delegations will have the opportunity to display only the national flag of the country they represent, even in spaces such as the Opening Ceremony, Eurovision Village and the main stage.
This policy excludes flags that may express solidarity with other groups, such as the flag of Ukraine. According to Eurovision officials, this rule is intended to provide clarity for delegations and audiences, ensuring a balance between expressing identity and respecting the rules.
At the same time, fans will be allowed to bring various flags to events open to the public, as long as they do not pose a safety risk and are in compliance with Swiss laws.
