The opening ceremony of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 brought a festive atmosphere and emotions to European music fans, as artists representing 35 countries paraded on the blue carpet, marking the official start of the festival week.
Albania was represented by Alis Kallaci, who captured the attention of the media and the public with his performance at the event taking place in Vienna.
During interviews with foreign media, the artist spoke about the song "Nan", an emotionally charged musical project that combines traditional Albanian elements with modern sounds.
Representing Albania this year comes after Alis Kallac's victory at the RTSH Song Festival, where he secured his ticket to Eurovision with the winning song "Nan". After the triumph, the artist had said:
"I will do my best at Eurovision. I will give my all."
The song has been positively received by both the Albanian public and international Eurovision fans, who have considered it one of the most authentic entries of this jubilee edition, which marks the 70th anniversary of the European music festival.
This year's competition features 35 countries, and organizers have promised a great musical spectacle and strong artistic competition. Albania is aiming for the grand finale with the performance of Alis Kallac, who is expected to bring to the stage a combination of Albanian tradition with a modern European spirit.
