Tom Holland was rushed to the hospital after suffering a serious injury while filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
On Friday, September 19, the British actor hit his head during a dangerous scene while falling on set. So far, there are no further details about his condition, but it has been confirmed that he underwent tests for a concussion.
Production on the $200 million Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been temporarily suspended and could be delayed for weeks while the star recovers.
A person working on the ambulance that transported Holland told the Sun newspaper: "We were called at 10.30am on Friday to assist a patient who had suffered an injury. An ambulance was sent to the scene and the patient was taken to hospital for further care."
The actor's father, Dominic Holland, also spoke about the incident during a charity event, saying his son will take a break from filming "for a while."
Despite the accident, the actor had previously expressed his excitement about the new film in an interview with Complex magazine. "It was a very fun process developing the film," he said.
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 31, 2026.
