3 'barber houses' discovered in Malësia e Madhe, two people

Two people have been arrested and several others have been criminally prosecuted in Malësia e Madhe, after being accused of cultivating cannabis.

From the checks in 3 premises in the village of Hot, adapted for the cultivation and drying of cannabis narcotic plants, the Police services found and seized as material evidence 1110 suspected cannabis plants, 1 kg and 800 grams of cannabis narcotic substance in the drying process, 300 lamps, 22 extractor fans, 35 blowers, 11 neon panels, 22 air filters and 217 inverters.

According to the police, Lazer Pepaj and Sandër Pepaj were arrested. Citizen Kristjan Pepaj was declared wanted.

OSHEE employees Gëzim Hoxha, Lodovik Vulaj, Xhuljano Çeraj and Adil Selmanaj were also detained.

The employees are accused of the criminal offense of "Abuse of Office", committed in collaboration, as they are suspected of having allowed illegal electricity connections in several facilities adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants.

"As part of the police operation codenamed "Neons" - citizens Lazer Pepaj, Sander Pepaj were arrested and citizen Kristjan Pepaj was declared wanted, citizens Gëzim Hoxha, Lodovik Vulaj, Xhuljano Çeraj and Adil Selmanaj were also detained.

Malësi e Madhe/Three environments adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants using lamps are discovered.  The police operation codenamed "Neonët" is finalized.  Three environments adapted for the cultivation and drying of narcotic cannabis plants using lamps are discovered.

Two citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto, and a 33-year-old man was declared wanted.

4 OSHEE employees are also suspended and 2 other employees are criminally prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty".  1,110 suspected cannabis plants, 1 kg and 800 grams of this substance in the form of a bottle, 300 lamps, 22 extractor hoods, 35 blowers, 11 neon panels, 22 air filters and 217 inverters are seized.

Following the plan of measures to crack down on the cultivation of narcotic plants in closed environments, based also on information obtained in operational ways, the services of the Malësi e Madhe Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the services of the Shkodër DVP Police and the Shkodër Public Security Unit, have exercised intensive controls in closed environments, with the aim of ascertaining and cracking down on cases of cultivation of narcotic plants using lamps, drying and processing them for sale.

In this context, the police operation codenamed "Neons" was organized and finalized.  As part of the operation, citizens SP, 48 years old, LP, 69 years old (cousins) were arrested in flagrante delicto, and citizen KP, 33 years old, all three residents of the village of Lulashpepaj, was declared wanted.

Following the operation, citizens GH, 57 years old, resident of the village of Balshaj; LV, 34 years old, resident of the village of Aliaj; Xh. Ç., 24 years old, resident of the village of Zagorë; and AS, 57 years old, resident of Koplik, were also detained for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office", committed in collaboration, as they are suspected of having allowed illegal electricity connections in several premises adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants.

Also, citizens EH, 57 years old, resident of Bajza, and AH, 41 years old, resident of Shkodra, were criminally prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office", committed in collaboration.

From the checks in 3 premises (2 apartments and a stable) in the village of Hot, adapted for the cultivation and drying of cannabis narcotic plants, the Police services found and seized as material evidence 1110 suspected cannabis plants, 1 kg and 800 grams of cannabis narcotic substance in the drying process, 300 lamps, 22 extractors, 35 blowers, 11 neon panels, 22 air filters and 217 inverters.  Intensive work continues to capture citizen KP

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance for General Jurisdiction, Shkodra, for the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants", "Production and sale of narcotics" and "Theft of electricity or telephone pulses", the police announced.
