The court hearing of Leonard Duka, accused of the murder of former officer Santiago Malko in August 2019, has been postponed again.
It is learned that Leonard Duka was not present at the hearing, Santiago Malko's mother and sister were present.
Duka's defense attorney requested a postponement of the hearing because the defendant was absent and they would present their conclusions together.
According to sources, the request was accepted by the trial panel and the next hearing will take place on January 16 at 1:30 p.m. Meanwhile, SPAK has requested 32 years in prison for Leonard Duka.
Leonard Duka, one of the most wanted people by the Albanian Police, was arrested on February 14, 2023 in Belgium, and was extradited to our country last year.
Duka is currently on trial for the murder of former police officer Santiago Malko, one of Ervis Martinaj's most trusted men.
Former police officer Santiago Malko was executed on the evening of August 27, 2019 in the "Xhamlliku" area of Tirana, in his "BMW X5" car.
Indicted for a series of criminal incidents, Malko had also entered the state administration.
The prosecution accused 8 people of the murder of Malko, led by the two brothers Duka, Leonardi and Erlisi.
The Duka Clan, accused of the murder, consists of: Leonard Duka, Erlis Duka, Ilir Selmani, Ervis Metani, Fatmir Hyseni, Dritan Agaj, Aleksandër Maxhaku and Xhoni Nica.
