A 30-year-old man surrendered to police today, accused of the double murder in Finikounda in early October, where the Greek owner of the campsite and his Albanian friend were executed.
According to protothema.gr , an international arrest warrant was issued against him, and he is accused of collaborating in crime.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, the nephew of the 68-year-old owner of the Finikounda campsite and a businessman friend of his from Athens were arrested on warrants as part of the double murder investigation. Both are accused of inciting crime.
Authorities were searching for the 30-year-old, who is a friend of the arrested businessman, as he is suspected of being involved in this incident.
This is the fifth arrest, as in addition to the nephew and his friend, two other people have been arrested for the crime.
The victim's nephew reiterated in his statements that he was only a witness, denying any involvement.
He claimed that he wanted the matter to be clarified and that he had cooperated with the authorities from the beginning, citing coincidences in what was attributed to him.
For his part, the businessman from Athens, a close friend of the nephew and co-manager of the campsite, also insisted on his innocence, stressing that he had been unjustly accused.
