A 27-year-old man has been arrested after robbing businesses in the Shijak area.
The young man is also suspected of being the author of three previous robberies committed in various businesses in the Shijak area, where he stole sums of money and valuables and various accessories, from the market and two businesses in the villages of Borak and Xhafzotaj in Shijak.
"Three thefts in the market and two businesses have been uncovered and documented, and work continues to document with legal evidence several other thefts, suspected of being committed by this citizen.
The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Shijak Police Station, after intensive work to uncover and legally document several thefts that occurred in businesses in the Shijak area, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Shumat".
As part of the operation, citizen RT, 27 years old, resident of Shijak, was arrested and detained.
The investigation revealed that this citizen is also suspected of being the perpetrator of three previous robberies in various businesses in the Shijak area, where he stole sums of money, valuables and various accessories from the market and two businesses in the villages of Borak and Xhafzotaj in Shijak.
In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, work continues to uncover and document with legal evidence several other cases of theft suspected to have been committed by this citizen.
As material evidence, the clothes used during the thefts were seized from this citizen. The materials were passed on to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action, for the criminal offense of "Theft", the police announced.
