An Albanian worker has died in Pozzallo (Ragussa), Italy, after being injured at work.
The Albanian who tragically lost his life is Artur Deliu, 36. The accident occurred due to a mechanical defect in the concrete mixer that was unloading concrete onto the roof of a building, where the iron arm mechanism broke off and hit the two workers.
Unfortunately, the Albanian lost his life and his colleague was seriously injured.
A fundraising event is currently underway to support the family of Albanian worker Artur Deliu, who died at a construction site on Corso Vittorio Veneto.
He left behind a wife and two children. The community of Pozzallo and beyond has mobilized to offer concrete support to Artur Deliu's family.
"The fundraising activity is taking place at Planetmovie (Pozzallo, Ispica, Rosolini), Daniela Cartoleria Blanco Distefano (Pozzallo) and in Modica at Euroalimentari, Via Resistenza Partigiana, 41", informs Italian media.
Investigations into the circumstances and causes of the incident are still underway by the authorities, to assess whether there was a lack of safety conditions at work.
