Juljan Sula, 45 years old, was injured this morning in an assassination attempt in which at least 3 people are suspected to have participated.
Known as "Juli of Pashakos", rival of Aldo Bare, one of the most well-known names in the underworld, the 45-year-old was wounded by a bullet in the leg.
The Fier police are investigating the assassination, while the main lead of the investigative group is that of revenge.
According to reports, the suspicions are that the assassination was organized by opponents of Juljan Sula. He has been suspected of events in which people belonging to Aldo Bare were killed or injured, although officially the police and investigative bodies have not found facts and evidence on the suspicions raised.
In the 2015 incident, Sula was investigated as a suspect in an assassination attempt on Aldo Bare's nephew. His name has been mentioned in several other high-profile incidents, including the 2018 massacre that killed Jurgen Hoxha and Zamir Latifi, part of the gang led by Aldo Bare.
While in 2019, he was declared wanted as a person with possible knowledge of the assassination attempt in which former prosecutor Arjan Ndoj was injured.
In 2018, Juljan Sula escaped an attack with knives and sharp objects in a bar in the “Skënder Libohova” neighborhood in Lushnje. Although it seemed like a banal fight, the fact that the owner of the bar where the incident occurred is a friend of Aldo Bares raised suspicions that it was a revenge attack. The bar in question was owned by Arjan Aliço, otherwise known as “Arti i Braçes”, a 53-year-old man previously convicted of murder and known as one of Aldo Bares’ men.
Sula was shot about 20 times with knives and crowbars. He was left on the side of the road and later found by a passerby.
All these events seem to have caused today's attack on "Juli of Pashako" to focus on the clashes he has had with his rivals.
