Police have conducted searches at the apartment of the parents of 45-year-old Dhimitër Meci, arrested in Greece as part of a group of contract killers.
Greek media write that during the search, only his 84-year-old mother was found in the apartment, while Dhimitër Meci's room was found locked.
During the searches, 2 Kalashnikovs, 1 automatic pistol wrapped in plastic, dozens of cartridges, some of which were inside bags of rice, and 5 Kalashnikov rifles were found.

According to Greek media, it is suspected that these weapons were illegally crossing the border into Greece.
Greek media have also published photos of weapons seized during the operation, which also show Albanian inscriptions such as " RUSSIAN FOX RIFLE" or "RUSSIAN TT" . It is not known whether these are weapons seized in Greece or Albania, as there has been no official press statement from the Albanian authorities.
According to the Greek police, it is suspected that the group of 4 Albanians and 4 Greeks was preparing to carry out an assassination attempt on a Greek mafioso in Piraeus, possibly around Christmas, a former associate of Mihali Zampouni, previously executed in the assassination attempt.

It is reported that they had been following the next victim and were planning the hit, possibly with one of the weapons found in an apartment in Marina Zeas, Greece.
The police have also discovered that the same group, in addition to the attempted murder of Jani Lala and the burning of a fuel tank, was also responsible for the theft of a vehicle on July 22, 2025, to which they had placed false license plates.
We recall that during the operation two days ago, Dhimitër alias Dhimo Meci, 45 years old from Labova e Poshtme in Gjirokastra, Fatjon alias Fatjion Prendi , 39 years old from Lezha, Andrea Brokeri, 32 years old from Himara and Vasil Theohari , 31 years old from Krongji i Finiqit, was declared wanted .
