The investigations into the double murder in Finikounda are continuing with intensity, as new details come to light about the motives, the roles of the suspects, and the issue of inheritance.

Following the arrest of the 68-year-old grandson of the victim and a businessman from Athens, authorities are awaiting the arrest of a third person in Germany. This person is suspected of having transported the 22-year-old suspected main perpetrator of the crime and is expected to be arrested once the international arrest warrant is executed.

The new investigations are related to the victim's assets, which include property and land worth several million euros. According to the law, the inheritance goes to the 68-year-old's sister, despite the nephew's claims that he was with his uncle until his last moments. Even if he is found guilty of inciting the murder, this does not change the legal course of the inheritance.

The 33-year-old nephew, who initially appeared as a witness, was arrested after analysis of telephone and computer communications contradicted his initial statements. The investigator managed to build a clear picture of his involvement as the instigator of the attack, while he is also suspected of having played a role in a previous assassination attempt on his uncle in September.

A crucial element for the investigation was the 33-year-old's first phone call after the murder, which was not addressed to the police, but to the businessman who is now under arrest. In subsequent testimony, the young man spoke of media pressure, rumors about "30 million euros", repeated robberies in his apartment and a complicated relationship with the victim, whom he considered a father figure.

Meanwhile, the two young men suspected of being the perpetrators remain in custody, while the third accomplice is expected to be arrested by German authorities. Investigations continue and authorities warn of new developments, as the Finikounda case remains full of enigmas and contradictions that require full clarification.
