The police have reacted to the fatal accident that occurred this afternoon in the area known as "Kaçanik Gorge" in Tirana, while the identities of the people involved have also been revealed.
The victim is 21-year-old Denis Gaxha , who was driving the motorcycle that collided with the vehicle driven by Azem Marku, 52.
According to police, the accident occurred at around 3:15 PM, and the collision proved fatal for the young man, who lost his life as a result of his injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle, Azem Marku, has been escorted to the police station for further procedural actions.
The investigation team is working to fully clarify the causes and circumstances of the accident.
"Around 15:15, on the "Gryka e Kaçanikut" road, the vehicle driven by citizen AM, about 52 years old, collided with the motorcycle driven by citizen DG, about 21 years old.
As a result of the accident, citizen D. G. lost his life, while citizen A. M. was taken to the police station for further procedural actions.
"The investigation team is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident," the police announced.
