A State Police officer fatally injured a 65-year-old man on Wednesday afternoon in Tirana. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on "Bajram Curri" Boulevard, while the police officer was driving a motorcycle.
According to official data, the inspector with the initials MK, on duty as General Patrol at the Tirana Police Department, injured citizen PF, 65 years old. The injured person was immediately transported to the Shefqet Ndroqi Hospital in serious condition, but as a result of his injuries, he died at around 9:00 PM.
The police officer himself was also injured. After the incident, the officer was arrested by the Police Supervision Agency, which carried out procedural actions in the case.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, while investigations continue to clarify the full causes and circumstances of the accident.
