New details have emerged from the tragic accident recorded yesterday evening on the Lezhë-Shkodër axis, near the village of Dajç, where an off-road vehicle initially collided with a trailer with Serbian license plates and then went off the road, ending up in a canal.
The accident toll so far is two deaths and three injuries. The victims of the fatal accident are spouses Refije Çiço, about 56 years old, and Luan Çiço, about 60 years old.
Meanwhile, their daughter, citizen Alketa Çiço, and her 3-year-old child were also seriously injured.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle, Klevis Çuçi, was also injured and is in a coma.
It was the residents of the area and the police officers who pulled the injured out of the canal, who were then urgently transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
The driver of the trailer has been identified as citizen Seid Islamovic, born on December 23, 2005, resident of Novi Pazar, Serbia.
Police say the investigation team is working to fully clarify and document the circumstances and causes of the accident.
