New details from the action of the Police Supervision Agency in Saranda. It is learned that two police officers have been arrested as part of this operation related to investigations into illegal construction in the southern tourist areas.
According to preliminary sources, the officers are suspected of not having taken measures to prevent or denounce cases of illegal construction recently identified in Saranda and Ksamil.
The AMP operation has been extended to several areas and comes after recent interventions by authorities against illegal construction. A few days ago, the Prosecution seized a hotel floor built without a permit in Saranda, while in Ksamil eight people were arrested for carrying out illegal works in a coastal area.
Investigators are verifying whether the arrested officers favored the entities carrying out the construction or abused their authority by not intervening to block the works.
Meanwhile, the operation continues and other measures against police officers or other persons involved in this matter are not ruled out.
