A tragic accident resulting in the death of a 37-year-old man was recorded yesterday evening on the Lushnje-Rrogozhina road, near the place known as the Rrogozhina Bridge.
The victim has been identified as Taulant Veliu, 37, who was riding a bicycle on the opposite side of the road.
According to preliminary data from the investigation and evidence collected at the scene, the 37-year-old initially collided with the mirror of a vehicle that was passing on the road. As a result of the collision, he was moved into the middle of the roadway, where at that moment another "Benz" vehicle was circulating.
The second vehicle hit the cyclist and dragged him for several meters, causing serious injuries that proved fatal. The 37-year-old died at the scene.
Immediately after the accident, the Police services arrived at the scene and escorted the two drivers of the vehicles involved in the accident for further procedural actions.
The investigation team is continuing its work to fully clarify the circumstances and determine responsibilities regarding the serious incident.
