Today, in Tirana, an event was held that welcomed the "new justice reform" in Albania as a big step towards the EU!
Also today in France, former President Sarkozy goes to prison for "participation in a criminal group." (As a lawyer, I have followed the process with great interest and not without professional astonishment.)
But he goes to prison calmly, hand in hand with his wife.
Without humiliation, accompanied with respect by the Police and followers! The Minister of Justice will visit him in prison!
Because true justice does not need propaganda, it speaks for itself, with dignity and with the force of law and institutional respect!
In Albania, exactly one year ago today, (ironically) former president Ilir Meta is arrested for "hiding income" (not a structured criminal group like Sarkozy)
But he is arrested not as a citizen who must obey the law, but as an enemy who must be publicly humiliated.
Political rhetoric, public stigmatization, and pre-prepared labels led to a flagrant police arrest on the highway, in his car, by dozens of armed forces, without police insignia, with masks on their faces and heavy weapons in their hands, who terrorized citizens and hoped to provide spectacle instead of justice.
Former President Meta was dragged along, treated in a degrading and inhumane manner, just to produce an image that feeds propaganda.
In France, the state and justice show strength through calm.
In Albania, the state and justice show weakness through violence, noise and propaganda!
Because here the new justice is not applied, it is used.
It is used not to enforce the law, but to build campaigns for political agendas!
Not to protect the dignity of justice, but to feed propaganda and aggressive crowds!
A year ago, I wrote about the police arrest of Ilir Meta and brought 7 examples from Strasbourg about how citizens are treated in a state governed by the rule of law.
Today, a year later, the contrast is brutal:
Justice is an institution,
Justice is a political and statistical propaganda instrument!
We have no problem with the laws!
We have a problem with the culture and mentality of how we love justice!
Because we like repressive justice that humiliates, that serves propaganda, and not justice that serves the citizen!
The case shows that what we have is not justice, it is power disguised to feed aggressive crowds on social media!

Tjetēr gjē ēshtē si u arestua dhe tjetēr pērse u arestua..!Nuk janē tē dyja njēsoj..!Prokuroria ,qē ti e di mē mire se unē , se ske vite sa unē ,por ke diplomē ,lēshon njē urdhēr aresti...E marin policat e dalin "pēr gjueti"...Ata kanē urdhēr aresti dhe duhet ta zbatojnē..!Likja ka emēr e mbiemēr..!Nga Meta ,kumbarja "popull" ja ka vēnē "floriri".Pra policat arestojnē Like floririn, jo Ilir Metēn..!Njerezit e ligjeve duhet ta pērshēndesin kētē arestim.Pra arestim.me urdher prokurori ,jo ftesē pēr "vizitē" nē gjykatē, tek " koleget" ,sikurse shprehej Velia..!Pse ore ish ministēr i drejtēsisē demokrat,...qē nuk duhej tē ngatērrohesh me partira ,(ēshtē e mira) ,ore patriot...nuk kērkoni "tē vihen nē bankēn e tē akuzuarve pēr tē marrē atē qē meritojnē ",po i mishēroni me "gjynahra" si i arestojnē..!Mos ndoshtaj policia me fletēn e arestit duhej ta kērkonte me buqeta me lule "eja ore ish..." Ai s'po i pērfillte fare...ata kudo po shajnē me fjalēt mē tē.ndyra SPAK-un...se presin mbrekulli, tē ngrihet populli e tē bērtasē "lereni tē lirē".! Gjykoheni ,qē ne te mēsojmē "mbrekullirat e tyre"..! Nēnyra e arestimit ,ēshtē e dorēs sē dytē..!Patriot,jo "avokat partiak"..! Ligji nuk ka parti..!
Çfarë është ky idioti. Halili nuk thotë pse e arrestuan , por pse e arrestuan në atë mënyrë. Zot sa e pështirë është rilindia. Të ju vdesim njëherë pastaj ju lyejmë me uthull
