Western reports speak of an operation pursued by MI6 and partner agencies with traces leading to Russian-Chinese networks in the Balkans...
The cyberattack on the Albanian Parliament systems appears to have been under surveillance for a long time by Western security agencies. According to security sources and analyses by partner services, the operation may be part of a wider network of influential cyber activities by structures linked to Russia and its allies in the region. Reports from British services and documents coordinated with European institutions speak of an increase in the activity of influence and disinformation networks in the Balkans, with suspected operational centers in North Macedonia and Serbia. The full publication of these data is expected to have significant political consequences.
The cyberattack on the data of the Albanian Parliament did not happen now, as it had long been identified and, as is known, was an operation under strict surveillance by Western partner agencies and hackers.
It was the Israelis and the British who followed the operation from its beginning, observing the entire history of the attack, even before the action began.
As it is learned, partner agencies had signals from the moment it was decided to intervene in the portal of the Albanian Parliament. The information even said that the operation did not only target the Parliament, but also other institutions, which have resisted the cyber attack.
Even the Parliament, if the same protocol had been used as in the other attacks, could have been saved or not been damaged as much as it was.
But it seems that this was used as a tactic to give official Tirana a political advantage, as part of the narrative of the attacks by the ayatollahs' regime. Which in fact happened, but according to sources there is much more behind this attack.

The background to this attack is that we are dealing not only with an aggression by the Revolutionary Guard or the cyber departments of the Iranian regime. The attack on Albania, according to information, was clandestinely financed by Moscow, based in a military building in a town near Veles in North Macedonia.
The British secret service MI6 is said to have uncovered almost the entire scheme of this hacking, while there are suspicions that the Russians are not alone, but that the Kremlin's secret services are the center of gravity of this operation.
In this big game, in addition to the Russian GRU, it is suspected that the Chinese and Iranian military secret services are also involved, which in the Balkans are concentrated in the Niš station and in Veles, North Macedonia. Two centers that, according to analysis, have unusual development investments.
According to the British report, the Russians have increased their activity since 2016 in the Balkan region, as a result of a significant increase in financial investments.
These investments have come mainly from Beijing and have been used in all levels of what is called espionage, including deterrence, diversion, and especially disinformation.
The British report, which is cross-referenced with the one approved in December by the European Commission, presents an expanded map of Russian-Chinese centers of influence in Albania, Kosovo, and other Balkan countries.
This report contains a long list of names, structures and media addresses, and is expected to be made public, perhaps not in full, but with parts of it, in the near future.
Its publication, according to diplomatic sources, could cause a major political earthquake in Tirana./ Pamphlet
