The Prime Minister attacks judges and prosecutors when he doesn't like the decisions, while turning a blind eye to the affairs of family, clans and oligarchs in power...
Prime Minister Edi Rama continued his attack on justice workers, attacking Tirana Administrative Court judge Marko Boshku regarding his decision to reinstate a dismissed police officer.
Whether Judge Boshku's decision is in compliance or in violation of the law, this is not determined by the Prime Minister, but by the High Judicial Council and the High Inspectorate of Justice, as the competent bodies for the evaluation and administrative investigation of judges.
In front of Judge Boshku, Rama publicly attacked and denigrated the Shkodra prosecutor, Elsa Gjeli, as well as two judges of the Tirana Administrative Court, Hazbi Balliu and Klarent Demiri, simply because he did not like their decisions.
The prime minister's attacks on the decision-making of judges and prosecutors, as well as threats to dismiss or investigate them, constitute unconstitutional interference in the affairs of the judiciary. Not because Rama is the "father of justice reform" and a champion of the law, as he proclaims himself, but because the threats against them are a preemptive scheme: so that in cases where he himself, his family or his clans face justice, their interests are not violated.
This double standard has been demonstrated in several cases involving former minister and MP Olta Xhaçka, Olsi Rama's cohabitant. Rama publicly threatened SPAK when it launched an investigation into Xhaçka for the illegal decision to grant a concession to the Limion Port in Saranda for the construction of a yacht port. He also threatened when prosecutors opened an investigation into her for the disappearance of army reserves during the emergency following the November 2019 earthquake.
Meanwhile, Rama did not react when SPAK prosecutor Ols Dado, in open violation of the Criminal Procedure Code, discontinued the investigation against Xhaçka and her husband, Artan Gaçi, for the land stolen in Himara with forged papers. But through the media close to him, he attacked and denigrated judge Flora Hajredinaj, who overturned the discontinuation of the investigation and ordered the Xhaçka-Gaçi couple to be taken as defendants.
Rama remained silent when SPAK appealed in their favor and when Judge Ilirjana Olldashi finally closed the investigation.
The same thing has happened with the oligarchs connected to power. Rama has not even attacked the prosecutors and judges who have closed the investigations of Pëllumb Salillari, Bashkim Ulaj, Janis Karathano, Rrok Gjoka and others. He has remained silent about the prosecutors who closed the “Xibraka” case of Olsi Rama. He has remained silent about those who blocked the investigations of Engjëll Agaçi, Ogerta Manastirliu, Frida Krifca, Tom Doshi, Ymer Lala, Rakip Suli, Dritan Agolli of the ADF, Gent Gazhel of the Customs, and even the investigations of Edmond Haxhinasto, Shkëlzen Berisha and Fatmir Mediu.
He did not even attack the judges who ruled in favor of Linda Rama for the land acquired with forged papers in Surrel, where they built the mansions together./ Pamphlet
