Just like in the period when Altin Dumani was elected, and Yuri Kim was ambassador to Tirana, a US-majority "war" is expected to begin over the election of the new head of SPAK.
The High Prosecutorial Council has opened the process for the selection of the new head of the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK). The name that will emerge from this process will replace Altin Dumani, whose mandate ends on December 18, 2025.
In the wake of this selection process for Duman's successor, all eyes and ears are on the names being discussed up and down, but also on any coded message from America, which in 2022 had a major influence on the election of the current head of SPAK, a process it closely monitored.
That said, it seems that the US again has a preferred name to lead the Special Structure. His name was revealed by the US Chargé d'Affaires in Tirana, Nancy VanHorn, during a visit she had yesterday to SPAK, where she met only two prosecutors, Altin Dumanin and Klodjan Braho.
The message conveyed by the US Embassy was noticed in the post of the visit on the social network "X", where among the photos, one struck the most; Dumani, Nancy VanHorn and prosecutor Klodjan Braho.

The photo also includes the name of prosecutor Klodjan Braho on the door of his office. A message from the US, or coincidence? In political reality, nothing is left to chance, and it seems that Braho's name will be the one the US will fight for to become the head of SPAK.
However, the absence of an ambassador makes it more difficult for the US to influence the process of selecting the new head of SPAK. Under these conditions, politics may rush to appoint 'its own man' to lead the institution of the Special Prosecution. With the endless blows that the majority has received from SPAK, Rama will try to play every card in his hands, to place a "puppet" prosecutor at the head of the Special Structure.
