A photo of 36-year-old Dila Ndoj, who was allegedly murdered by her cohabitant in a tragic event that has shocked public opinion in Albania and Montenegro, has been published.
The victim, originally from Balldreni, Lezha, was found dead inside the burning apartment in the Kodre neighborhood of Ulcinj. According to preliminary investigations, the suspected perpetrator of the crime is her cohabitant, Bashkim Gashi, 46, from Kosovo.
It is suspected that after the murder, the 46-year-old set fire to the apartment where they lived, with the aim of hiding the traces of the crime.
Montenegrin police announced that the suspected perpetrator was arrested a short time later, while he had sustained injuries from the fire. Authorities are continuing their investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
The news has caused great shock among the family and residents of Balldren, where the 36-year-old lived. The funeral ceremony is expected to take place in her hometown, where the family will receive condolences.
