
On the afternoon of Monday, October 20, 2025, a tragic railway accident occurred in the town of Trecate, in the province of Novara, Italy, where three young men of Pakistani origin, aged between 20 and 22, were hit by a train. One of them died on the spot, while the other two suffered injuries, one of whom is in critical condition.
According to available data, two of the young people were trying to cross the railway line to catch a train that would take them to Pioltello, while the third was sitting at the station waiting for another passenger and was injured by an object that broke loose after the collision. The train, traveling from Turin to Milan, stopped immediately after the accident to make way for the Investigation and the processing of the area.
The house and the local community have been shaken by the incident. Trecate station — a residential center with about 20 thousand inhabitants — has only two lines and an underpass.
