
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the Rafah border crossing in the southern Gaza Strip will remain closed until further notice.
He stated that the opening of the border crossing with Egypt would only be considered if Hamas returned the hostages and implemented the agreements.
Earlier, the Palestinian embassy in Egypt announced that the Rafah border crossing would reopen on Monday, after it had been closed since May 2024.
Hamas has still not returned all the bodies of the Israeli hostages it took on October 7, 2023 during the terrorist attack, while it has also currently put heavy equipment, such as excavators, to work to move rubble and rubble, in order to find the bodies of the hostages.
Israel is awaiting the handover of 19 bodies, while today it returned 15 Palestinian bodies to the other side.
