Two more bodies of the deceased Israeli hostages will be handed over tonight at 10:00 p.m. local time, Hamas' armed wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, said in a recently released statement.
That would bring the number of bodies returned to 12 hostages, according to Israel's count. Another 16 deceased hostages will have to be returned later.
Hamas has handed over 13 bodies so far, but Israel said one of them did not match any of the missing hostages.
The group previously said that recovering the remaining hostages would require special equipment, while Israeli officials suggested that Hamas was deliberately delaying the return of the hostages. All 28 bodies were supposed to have been handed over by last Monday.
