
The National Cyber Security Authority (AKSK) has identified a fraud campaign through SMS messages, which appear as notifications for unpaid traffic fines and redirect users to pages that imitate the official e-Albania platform with the aim of acquiring personal data, credentials and banking information.
The Authority informs that it has referred to the Cybercrime Investigation Directorate of the State Police, as well as to AKEP, the domains and IP addresses used in this activity with the aim of blocking them.
The Authority appeals for increased caution, while emphasizing that in cases where citizens suspect that they have fallen victim to fraud, they should immediately contact their bank and report the case to the relevant institutions.

"If you suspect that you have fallen victim to this fraud, contact your bank immediately and report the case to the relevant authorities ," the AKSK announcement states.
