Israeli forces have carried out extensive demolition operations in the eastern areas of Gaza City, beyond the so-called "yellow line", demolishing residential buildings in the Shujayea, Sha'af and Tuffah neighborhoods.
The Israeli army also detonated a bomb near the Shujayea intersection, while troops were deployed at the entrances to al-Ahli, Muhammad Ali and al-Mizan hospitals, according to local sources.
At the same time, Israel has strengthened its military presence at the northern entrances to Hebron in the West Bank, sealing off the areas of Ras al-Joura, Farsh al-Hawa, Halhul, Nabi Yunis and al-Hawawer with metal barriers and concrete blocks. The move comes after a vehicle attack that injured an Israeli soldier last evening.
Artillery shelling and Israeli helicopter gunships have also been reported east of Khan Younis, while Palestinian authorities say Israeli forces are crossing the Yellow Line almost daily, defying the terms of the ceasefire.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, a 17-year-old, Muhannad Tariq Muhammad al-Zughair, was killed in Hebron after Israeli troops opened fire near the Abu Dajjan area.
