Iran's joint military command has denied involvement in reported attacks on the United Arab Emirates over the past two days, while warning of a "devastating response" in the event of escalation.
The UAE's Defense Ministry said it had faced missile and drone attacks "originating from Iran." However, a spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command, which coordinates Iran's armed forces, said Tehran had not carried out any attacks in recent days.
"If such an action had taken place, we would have announced it clearly and decisively. Therefore, the report of the Ministry of Defense of that country is completely denied," the statement distributed by Iranian media said.
However, the statement also included a direct warning. “If there is any reaction from the Emirates, we will give a devastating response that will bring regret,” the military command stressed.
It remains unclear whether the denial includes all Iranian structures or whether the attacks may have been carried out by groups supported by Tehran.
