US President Donald Trump, during a meeting with New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, spoke to reporters at the White House about the peace plan presented to Ukraine and Russia.
Trump stated that he had a plan to end the terrible war in Ukraine and that Zelensky should approve it.
" We have a plan. It's terrible what's happening. It's a war that should never have happened. We think we have a way to achieve peace. He's going to have to approve it ," the US president said.
Asked by a reporter that the peace plan had received some criticism, Trump replied: "You mean he doesn't like Zelensky?
"He's going to like it, and if he doesn't like it, then they should keep fighting, I think. At some point, he's going to have to concede something. You remember in the Oval Office, not long ago, I said 'You don't have the cards.' I inherited this fight. I thought he should have made a deal a year ago, two years ago ," Trump added.
