Rama denies threats, while 18 police officers and anti-crime agents are deployed on permanent duty near the private project in Durrës...
In his latest public statement, Prime Minister Edi Rama denied the risk of Iranian attacks on Albania, stressing that the country is protected by NATO. However, according to sources from the State Police, special security measures have been put in place near the “Alabbar” project site in Durrës, where 18 police officers and anti-crime agents patrol in shifts to guarantee the protection of the investment. Such measures have not been extended to other strategic institutions or facilities, raising debates on the criteria and priorities for the use of security forces.
In Sunday's public communication with his podcast, Prime Minister Edi Rama called rumors about the risk of approaching Iranian attacks on Albania intentional disinformation, saying that not only is there no risk, but even if there were, Albania is a NATO member country and has protection from partners.
But, while the prime minister sees no risk of Iranian attacks, he has ordered protective measures to be taken to guarantee the security and inviolability of clientelistic businesses being developed by private companies from the United Arab Emirates in Albania.
A confidential information from the State Police has informed "Pamphlet" that, by order of Prime Minister Edi Rama, 18 police officers and anti-crime agents have been assigned to duty near the construction site of the "Alabbar" towers in Durrës.
These State Police surveillance and security forces have been tasked with performing three-shift service near the "Alabbar" construction site, as a preventive measure against any possible attack on this private business.
Police and anti-crime agents are unable to stop Iranian missiles, but are assigned to detect, prevent, and strike at any attempted terrorist act, given that the United Arab Emirates has been the target of attack by Iran.
The deployment of Albanian state security measures only near the "Alabbar" tower construction site in Durrës is considered by critics as clientelism by Prime Minister Edi Rama, in violation of the national security law, as teams of police and anti-crime agents were deployed without any report of an Iranian threat in Albania.
If there were such a report from SHISH, Anti-crime, Anti-Terror and US-EU partners, Prime Minister Edi Rama would have ordered the deployment of special security services in central state institutions, strategic economic centers of energy and water, seaports, airports, schools, hospitals and large shopping centers.
But Prime Minister Edi Rama, using the national security law for his clientelism, has ordered the deployment of 18 special police and anti-crime security forces in Durrës, just at the construction site where Mohamed Alabbar's company is building towers and hotels.
So emphasized is this security measure for the Alabbar tower construction site in Durrës that Prime Minister Edi Rama, although there have been and currently are many requests for special security measures from large investment companies in Albania, has not assigned any police or anti-crime agents for them.
Meanwhile, in addition to the 18 police officers and anti-crime agents near the "Alabbar" tower site, Prime Minister Edi Rama has ordered 150 police officers and special forces to be sent in three shifts to Rrjoll, to remove residents from the land where his friend Bashkim Ulaj plans to build a resort./ Pamphlet
