The clashes over Zvërnec have put the Special Prosecution Office and the National Bureau of Investigation into action, while investigations are reported to have been launched in both Vlora and Tirana, regarding allegations regarding the alienation of properties in that area.
As of this morning, BKH agents are conducting checks and seizing documents, which may serve the investigation into a suspected scheme of embezzlement and falsification of property documentation in this coastal area.
Journalist Klodiana Lala reported for News24 that among the people being checked is Pëllumb Petriti, a former lawyer, who is suspected of having played a role in falsifying property documents in favor of Artur Shehu. Checks are also being conducted on Redi Struga, an engineer and administrator of the design company “InfraKonsult” sh.pk.
The Struga company has purchased the properties from other owners. Struga serves, through the company "Albanian Land Development", as a bridge connecting with the billionaire brothers Ramez and Mohamad Al-Khayyat from Qatar, who invest alongside Kushner.
The company InfraKonsult sh.pk, managed by Redi Struga, is a design and engineering consultancy company that has been engaged in several infrastructure projects in Albania.
One of its most important projects was the study, design and expansion of the Elbasan–Prrenjas–Qafë Thanë road segment, a contract won at the end of 2020 with a limit fund of 530 million lek and a completion deadline of 9 months.
The highest tensions in Zvërnec were recorded two days ago, where a citizen protesting in the area designated as a construction site was dragged away by civilians, who introduced themselves as security employees of a private company, whose licenses were revoked by order of the Director General of the State Police.
One of the employees of "Major Security", Gerald Biba, was arrested after punching the citizen, who fell unconscious, while two others, Artur Grami and Gazmend Vathi, are under investigation after they dragged him, causing him bodily injuries. Moreover, the latter two are found not to have a license to practice this activity.
Meanwhile, "Myrto Security" was tasked with securing the perimeter of the entity, while they allowed unauthorized persons (two employees of 'Major Security' unlicensed to practice this activity) and did not take any measures to prevent the violence that the "Major Security" guards exercised against citizens.
The revocation of licenses for two private companies comes 1 day after the reaction of the Ministry of Interior, which also condemned the indifference of the Vlora Police, who were present during the protest and the violence carried out by masked private employees, but who did not make any move to prevent it.
