The Vlora Court has imposed the security measure "prison arrest" on Gerald Biba, who is being investigated for raping a participant in the protest held a few days ago in the Zvërnec area.
The decision was made after reviewing the evidence collected by the investigative bodies and presenting the parties' positions at the hearing. As a result, Biba will remain in custody until further developments in the process.
The incident occurred during an organized protest against the project being implemented in Zvërnec. During the rally, clashes were recorded between protesters and people involved in maintaining the security of the area.
Footage of the conflict circulated widely on social media, attracting public attention and prompting numerous reactions.
