Igli Gjoca, 33, lost his life at the Orange Club in Saranda, after he allegedly came into contact with electricity while he was at the site where work was being carried out in preparation for the tourist season.
According to sources, the young man, who owned a vehicle repair shop, was suspected of being engaged in painting the stage in this environment. In connection with the incident, the police have also filed charges of illegal employment.
However, the arrested administrator of the bar, Ermal Fataj, denied that Gjoca was employed. In his testimony to the police, he stated that the 33-year-old had gone to the premises of the bar on the afternoon of April 9 to see the works being carried out, as he was acquainted with the owner.
According to Fataj, Gjoca was not employed at the club, as he was practicing his private activity in the service, but had gone to give his opinion on the painting and subsequent works.
Meanwhile, it is learned that Igli Gjoca had previously worked as a waiter at the "Orange Club" before opening his own business.
