The 47th citizen protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office building continued with speeches by activists, who repeated their criticism of the political class and justice institutions.
Among the speakers was activist Sidorela Vatnikaj, who stated that the protest aims to end the political transition and demanded that investigations extend to the highest government leaders.
"This square has clearly shown its stance towards the 36-year-old corrupt political class. We have been here every day to say that we are here to end the Albanian transition with a single corrupt political class, which has only changed sides, but has never relinquished power! Edi Rama should be investigated as the head of a criminal organization and not as the Prime Minister of Albania!", declared Vatnikaj.
Following her speech, the activist said that support for SPAK and GJKKO is not unconditional, but is accompanied by the demand that justice act against all officials suspected of corruption.
"We have been and are in support of the work of SPAK and GJKKO, but not with closed eyes, but with a demand: Investigate Rama, arrest Balluku! Investigate all the corrupt, those who have put their hands in our pockets for 36 years!", she said amid the cheers of the protesters.
Vatnikaj's speech was met with applause from the participants in the protest, which continued with calls against the government and the political class.
