The former Albanian Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, in his speech at the Diaspora Summit in Tirana, emphasized the need for unity in protecting the rights of Albanians.
Referring to the situation in North Macedonia, he noted that the rights of Albanians must be consolidated and further developed, avoiding any regression in the standards achieved over the years.
"We must be united in protecting our rights. We must all be ready to support Albanians for the rights that have been achieved. The rights that have been achieved cannot be devastated, they can only be advanced," he said.
Abazovic stressed that the experience of the region shows that the lack of coordination and cooperation between political and social factors can lead to serious consequences for stability.
"If we don't cooperate, we will go into conflict. I believe that everyone today sees how harmful the conflict was. Montenegro has felt it in its own body ," he said.
