Vlora has been hit by heavy rain again, which has been falling at high intensity for several minutes. The coastal city, known for its flooding problems in every wet season, is being closely monitored by emergency structures.
So far, there have been no reports of blocked roads or flooding in the neighborhood, but field experts warn that, if the rainfall continues at this rate, some low-lying areas of the city are at risk of flooding.
Local authorities have put emergency teams and intervention vehicles on standby to react immediately in case the situation worsens.
We recall that in recent years Vlora has been hit several times by massive floods, revealing the lack of serious investments in the sewage system and water management.
