Journalist and author Kozeta Kurti has reacted to the payment situation at RTSH, making it public that she and her team have 12 unpaid projects.
In a lengthy reaction, Kurti emphasizes not only the public institution's financial debt to its employees and collaborators, but also the total lack of respect, communication and transparency, especially from the general director, Eni Vasili.
"My RTSH is not Eni Vasili's," Kurti writes, adding that unlike previous leaders who have at least shown human and professional respect, Vasili has never met with the authors of the shows, neither to apologize nor to provide a minimal explanation about the unpaid payments.

RTSH hasn't paid for 5 months, but Eni Vasili has crossed every line of respect for human and professional dignity.
My RTSH is not that of Eni Vasili, Aurora Polo, Thoma Gëllçi, Enkelejdi Joti or Martin Leka. These, except Eni, have asked us: are you tired, do you need anything? They have motivated and respected us for what we have been and what we have done.
I mentioned these names because I have worked with these directors time and time again at RTSH, as an author and moderator of programs, as a scriptwriter or spokesperson for the Song Festival. My RTSH is the one of the Festivals where I would write down the lyrics of the songs with a pencil and memorize them ready for the next day, it is the one of "12 dances without a Saturday", it is the one of the first "Miss Albania", etc. Because of this RTSH, I have donated to it the broadcast hours worth millions of leks that RTSH cannot produce on its own, the Albania Pop Rock cycles where no new star or gold is left without singing, with the orchestra composed of the best musicians of this country, the spectacular tribute to Djemve të Detit, two unrepeatable concerts of Korça, two recitals of Artjola Toska, the recitals of Vesa Luma, Altin Goci and Adhurim Demir.
I did it even when Fred Peza kicked us out of the orchestra hall, as if we were producing nannies and bolts and not music; I paid the bill in a rented hall and did not punish RTSH because it was not Fred Peza's. I did it even when I replaced at the last second the most tired director that RTSH made available to us with another one paid for by me and my contacts, precisely because I did not want to punish RTSH, since it does not belong to the directors.
We professionals will enter RTSH for the rest of our lives (if we have a life), just as directors will only leave.
Now, let's get back to these backlogs. By the way, my staff and I have 12 unpaid jobs out of 14 in total.

Në fillim u përpoqa jo vetëm vetë, por duke bërë katalizatorin edhe të bashkëpunëtorëve të mi, të tregoja mirëkuptim dhe empati për një grup njerëzish që janë rishtarë, që u duhet kohë të kuptojnë ku kanë ardhur, të analizojnë situatën etj, etj.
Më vonë nuk lashë vend pa trokitur; në zyrën juridike, në zyrën e financës, në zyrën e drejtoreshës së njësisë së programeve, kërkova takim me Drejtoreshën e Përgjithshme (ndoshta më lehtë hyn në Shtëpinë e Bardhë, se tek zyra e Vasilit) shkrova një email të gjatë… dhe e dini çfarë kërkova? Nuk kërkova lekët, por një kontakt ku të delegoja të gjithë njerëzit që kanë punuar dhe bashkëpunuar me këtë program, se s’po kisha më fuqi t’i mbaja. Sa herë dridhej telefoni, më kapte ankthi. Unë vërtet nuk mbaj përgjegjësi ligjore, se çdokush ka firmosur personalisht, por ama s’e përjashtoj veten nga përgjegjësia morale, se ndryshe nga znj. Vasili që është kujdesur vetëm për panelet e saj, unë me këta artistë e personalitete kam një jetë që punoj.
Dhe meqë jemi këtu, si ka mundësi që znj. Vasili ka ndërtuar me qindra herë panele politike me qa’ hallet tona për vendimarrje qeverie, rol opozite etj dhe çuditërisht tani, në drejtimin e “shtëpisë së vet” nuk mblidhka dot një panel autorësh, bashkëpunëtorësh apo artistësh (nga ato që Eni Vasili i ka duartrokitur si spektatore edhe në event të drejtuar prej meje) minimumi për t’i parë në sy; për t’u treguar që ua njeh kontributin e se po përpiqet të gjejë një zgjidhje.
Sigurisht që secili prej nesh e do kompensimin e vet financiar, sepse për atë ka punuar (punët vullnetare i bëjmë tjetër kund dhe s’kemi nevojë t’i bërtasim), por më shumë se sa mungesa e tyre, më dhemb arroganca dhe fakti që jemi transparentë përballë këtij grupi njerëzish, veçanërisht për Drejtoreshën e Përgjithshme të institucionit. Personalisht kam shumë më tepër respekt për veten time, për punën time, për njerëzit që kam punuar se sa nevojë për honorarin tim.
Ndoshta unë nuk do ta kisha mbajtur kurrë këtë shënim, nëse pushteti i ri i RTSH-së do na “begeniste”, do na ftonte, madje edhe nëse do na shuante me rrena shprese; madje edhe po të na llastonte duke na përcjellë: “Do të dëshironim shumë të vazhdonim bashkëpunimin me ju, por siç e shihni ne s’po ju paguajmë dot për programet e kaluara; si mund t’ju kërkojmë të punoni ende?”
Por jo! Ne, znj. Vasili dhe ju oborrtarët e vegjël të rinj nuk jemi borxhlinjtë që ju mbinë juve në derë. Jemi profesionistët që e kemi kaluar me kohë gavetën dhe kërkojmë minimumin e respektit dhe edukatës qytetare së pari dhe patjetër edhe kompensimin financiar që na takon. Ne kemi nënshkruar një marrëveshje me institucionin dhe për ne ka pak rëndësi se kush e përfaqëson atë. Prandaj një marrëveshje dy palëshe legjitimohet me vulë, se përndryshe do mjaftonte një firmë e secilit prej jush.
If we don't ask you about administrative and financial issues, what should we ask you about? About the content of our programs? We can't ask you! Do you know why? Because you CANNOT help us! My fellow authors and moderators and I have brought back to our studios personalities who had not only removed their visas, but had spilled the ink of the fountain pen on RTSH in due time. As far as I'm concerned, in 14 weeks I did what institutions, including the one you lead today, have not done. I raised from the grave in the first and metaphorical sense, as you like, characters who, consciously or not, all of you, in every institution, had kicked in due time.
But I don't want to dwell on this any longer, because "for every mother, her child is the most beautiful on the planet."
I hope that if this note doesn't reach you (of course, not that I expect any reflection), it will reach Baton Haxhiu, who advises you as a friend to close down RTSH for about six months.
And if Batoni gets his hands on this note, could you please, as a friend, appeal to your friend to give us our money before he puts that thick lock on RTSH, not even for six months, but maybe forever?
After all, we didn't deal with the Sudanese pyramids in 1997. Why should we experience the Serbian pyramids of 2025?
As for lawsuits and trials, I've definitely thought about it, but I'm still not convinced whether Albanians deserve to pay money for the whims of arrogant and indifferent directors, while they pay every month to see what we produce.
PS I don't expect to spark a firestorm with this article, but above all I did it because:
1- I can't keep my colleagues hopeful or transfer them to the corridors anymore.
2- Because I've seen here and there, in flashbacks on portals with articles by anonymous writers, they mention my name and they've spoken as if they had my mouth in their face.
I am Kozeta Kurti, with this face and this name that I do not hide behind a finger and that my path, as much as I have done, I have made myself, without licking the bowls of media owners, or people with media or political power. This path of mine is similar to many of my colleagues, as it is completely incomparable, yes, to many leaders or former leaders in our affairs.
