Hundreds of residents of Rrjoll, supported by citizens from other areas, under the chants of 'Rama in prison, Berisha in prison', have demolished the perimeter fence that oligarch Bashkim Ulaj had placed on the properties of locals.
While Ulaj's company has begun work on the land claimed by the residents, the latter have organizedly begun to tear down the iron bars, which have been placed as a perimeter wall, while others have attempted to block the machinery.
Work has begun in the area, while the issue still remains unresolved, as residents claim that their property was stolen through false documents.
The police, including Rapid Intervention forces, equipped with spacesuits, have attempted to stop the residents' revolt, but have found it almost impossible.
Amid the tensions, the residents, some of whom were holding national flags, through slogans or banners, confessed that their lands were being plundered. "We are the children of Rrjoll, the land is not touched!", they said.
The resort being built by the Gener 2 company of Bashkim Ulajt, which covers an area of 147.2 hectares, has been strongly opposed by the residents of the area, due to problems with land ownership. The works started in February, but in recent days, "fortification" with high iron railings has been observed, which seems to have irritated the residents and tense the situation.
The day before, during the protest held in Tirana, which was the 13th in a row, one of the citizens invited everyone to be present to remove the fence in Rrjoll.

Today's protest in Rrjoll was joined by hundreds of citizens who have been protesting in Tirana for 13 days against the political class, while demanding the resignation of Edi Rama as Prime Minister.
