What will happen at the opposition protest?
With nearly 2 hours to go before the opposition protest, the police have arrived on the scene. The opposition has called for a protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office at 6:00 PM, in the context of the government's scandals. But behind the scenes, there have been rumors that the protest could be tense, and for this reason, the police have taken measures.
Nearly 1,200 police officers have been deployed, including special forces. Water tankers have been deployed behind the Prime Minister's Office and the Assembly's headquarters, while high-resolution cameras have been installed on the Boulevard. According to sources, the police have given the opposition 3 hours to protest.
On the other hand, security forces have begun to deploy around the Prime Minister's Office, while a metal cordon has been set up. So far, the DP has not given any details of the scenarios that will be followed, but there is talk that there may be Molotov cocktails and throwing of hard objects towards the government building.
