Pranvera Kastrati has been appointed Director of the CEFTA (Central European Free Trade Agreement) Secretariat. Kastrati's appointment followed a selection process divided into three phases, initial screening, interviews and final assessment in Brussels, with the involvement of international experts and the support of the European Commission.
Kastrati's election is also seen as an important moment for the institutional continuity of CEFTA, especially in the implementation of the Regional Common Market Action Plan (CRM2), which is a key part of the EU's Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.
Her appointment was also congratulated by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who, through a post on the social network "Facebook", shared the news of her election as Director of the CEFTA Secretariat.
"A moment of pride for everyone, the appointment of the Albanian Pranvera Kastrati, to the important position of the new Director of the CEFTA Secretariat (Central European Free Trade Agreement)"
"Now a representative of Albania will work effectively with all parties to implement the CEFTA Agreement and fulfill joint commitments towards the economic integration of the Western Balkans and accelerating integration with the EU Single Market ," Rama wrote.
