The Czech Republic and South Africa drew 1-1 in the second match of Group A, securing a point each in the challenge held in Atlanta.
The Czechs started the match in the best possible way, taking the lead in the 6th minute. Sadilek successfully completed a beautiful move by his team, giving the Czech Republic the lead.
South Africa responded in the remainder of the match and managed to restore parity with seven minutes remaining. Mokoena was accurate from the penalty spot, converting a penalty kick and sealing the final score at 1-1.
With this draw, both teams register their first point in the group. To keep their hopes of qualification alive, the Czech Republic and South Africa will need a positive result, especially a victory, in their final group stage matches.
