Rama's actions, Kikia: The law should not be applied only for campaigning,
Mentor Kikia

Analyst Mentor Kikia spoke about Rama's actions in food security, construction, and local government. He stated that the implementation of the law should not come as a campaign, but as a permanent state action that will turn into civic culture.

"Usually summer is a period where there is a news crisis and the media suffers, but this has been a good period to feed either the newsroom or the people who deal with analysis or political debate.

What stands out in the government camp is the fact that we are dealing with several interventions by important state institutions, those that deal with territory management, such as the territorial protection inspectorate for the demolition of unauthorized constructions or the release of public spaces on beaches, the tax inspectorate and the food quality control inspectorate, which were put into motion precisely after the exclusive orders of the prime minister and have taken on the nature of a campaign.

This is what constitutes the essence of what is wrong, not what is being done within the framework of this campaign but the term campaign itself, since logic dictates that the law does not apply to campaigns.

So, state structures had been silent until now, and the moment an order was issued by the prime minister, the fire brigades were set on fire, houses and illegal constructions began to be demolished, orders were given and tents, sun loungers or other structures that had occupied public beaches began to be removed, tents, fences or other structures that had occupied sidewalks in cities were removed.

Likewise, to control food quality, street sales were banned.

"All of this should have happened systematically and I believe that if the state were to create a permanent action, not just with orders and campaigns, the implementation of the law would also take the form of a civic culture," Kikia told "Ora News".
