Former Democratic Party MP, Lajla Përnaska, has criticized the way the DP is organized and led, questioning the political model that, according to her, has failed to expand the party's electoral support.
Invited to "A2CNN", Përnaska focused on the ongoing rhetoric of "regeneration" and "renewal" within the DP, arguing that the main problem remains the lack of expansion of the electorate.
"We heard regeneration, renewal, reactivation, we heard rebirth, reestablishment, it's always 'new', 'new', 'new'. I see this way of doing politics as inappropriate. The DP expanded very structured but did not expand the electorate, it shrank in the electorate, this is a kind of impasse that the leadership should look at very carefully," she said.
Pernaska also expressed her opposition to the figures of Flamur Noka and Albana Vokshi, stating that she has never felt represented by them.
"Regarding the names, of course I have my objections, Mr. Noka has never represented me in any detail of his model as a politician and as a leader, on the contrary, even when I collaborated, I had strong debates with him, just as Ms. Vokshi has never represented me ," the former MP said.
Referring to the leadership of the Democratic League of Women, Pernaska said that the problem is not related to the names, but to the operating model, which she claims is not legitimized through voting.
"The name doesn't matter, but the model, which has never been elected and is forced to remain in a position that does not belong to it," declared Pernaska.
