The Democratic MP for the Fier District, Saimir Korreshi, has published other scandalous images from the Lushnja hospital, for which he has been asking the Ministry of Health to intervene for days, as lives are at risk every day.
More specifically, today, Korreshi has published footage from the Blood Center, showing a completely dilapidated building, with deplorable conditions, while patients with thalassemia receive blood there.
"Here we are at the Blood Bank, one of the most important departments. Look at this humidity! You understand what the situation is like here. Look at what it says there; Regional Center. There are many thalassemia patients in Lushnja. They are forced to travel to Tirana every 3 months to appear before the committee for medicines. Even though there is no blood here, look at how the grass has grown. Do rats eat you here?! This is the situation of the Blood Bank!", says Korreshi.
Earlier, the Democratic MP also published images from other wards of Lushnja Hospital, while a speech he gave in Parliament regarding the current state of Albanian healthcare went viral on social media, highlighting a series of problems ranging from the malfunctioning of emergency rooms to the lack of necessary conditions in hospitals.
