20 people were escorted by the Police after the protest held in front of the Parliament, which was accompanied by tensions and clashes between protesters and law enforcement.
The father of IT expert Gent Progni, who was among those escorted during today's protest, criticized the government and called on citizens to protest.
"The police don't dare to speak, they are afraid that if they open their mouths they will be out of a job. They don't understand that the people will take these criminals we have in power to their own country. My son has grown up with an education for the family, the nation and Albania," he declared.
Progni's father used an ironic formulation to criticize Prime Minister Edi Rama, as he reiterates the call for citizens to join the protests.
"I am a colleague of Edi Rama, I played basketball with him. Rama tells Albanians: 'I lied to you, I lied to you, I stole from you, I imprisoned you, I mocked you, I trampled on you, I killed you, I took your jobs, your land, I increased your oil, I increased your taxes. I destroyed your healthcare, I increased your food prices, I killed your hope and you still don't overthrow me. What do I have to do to overthrow me?' I call on citizens to come out in protest," he said.
