Activist Andi Tepelena called on international factors to react to the situation created during the protest held in front of the Parliament, where clashes were recorded between protesters and police forces.
In a statement to the media after the incidents, Tepelena called for the intervention of the United States Embassy and international partners, linking his calls to the police intervention during the protest.
"They have been raped in a terrible way. I call on the American embassy, because there are many Albanians with American citizenship, to intervene urgently. International intervention is needed to put a stop to this bloody regime. Balla is a thug who has called on the police to use violence against peaceful citizens. Those ministers, because they wanted to eat bread, ordered the police to intervene against us. He is the scum of Albanian society.
"It's time for them to leave. We are the most peaceful citizens of this country, pro-European and pro-Western. Since the first days of the protest, we have shown citizenship. Balla is a basin that will try violence to expose us as anti-American, as agents of Iran. He is a common provocateur. I call on the protesters to be numerous in number. There is no turning back," he said.
