The residents of Rrjoll have continued their resistance against the project in the area today, once again taking to the streets in protest.
During the rally, protesters broke through a section of the fence set up by the construction company and entered the construction site. The situation was accompanied by tensions and clashes with police forces.
At some points, residents have accused law enforcement officers of pushing them away, while continuing to call out against the project and the people they hold responsible for the situation.
"The end has come for you thieves," was one of the protesters' chants during the clash.
Residents held banners with messages against the violation of their properties, while among them were the following: "We are the children of Rrjoll, our land is not to be touched", "Rrjoll is our home, don't take our future", "The end has come for you thieves".
For about two weeks, some of the residents of Rrjoll have also been part of the mass protests in Tirana, where they are expected to join again today.
